Jestyn - A holiday home just a few minutes from the beach at The Riviere Towans, St Ives Bay, Hayle, Cornwall. This traditional chalet/villa is a perfect spot to spend a relaxing, sea-side holiday (or just a short break), and central for exploring many of the beauty spots around Cornwall.

 

View towards Godrevy from the TowansUnder a 10 minute walk from the 3 miles of golden sands which strech between Godrevy Lighthouse and the Hayle Estuary. this detached, traditional chalet/villa, one of a number dotted among the sand dunes, offers accommodation for up to 4 guests and is the perfect base for a sea-side holiday!


 

St Ives BayJust a few minutes from bars, restaurants and shops and only 1 1/2 miles from the town of Hayle, with a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. 


St Ives with its cobbled, narrow streets, beaches and fishing harbour, and The Tate Gallery are just 6 miles away.

Paradise Park, at Hayle, has been chosen twice as Cornwall's number 1 family attraction, and you can see why. The Park is mammoth offering a choice of activities including free flying bird shows, mini train rides on the Jungle Express, penguins and otters and watch out for the Clough, Cornwall's emblem bird. There's a plant shop, real ale pub and cafe/restaurants all on-site. The new Jungle Barn indoor play area is perfect for the tots on rainy days, and check out the furry friends at the fun farm.

St Ives has been voted as the UK's best beach destination as well as sixth in Europe.  St Ives with its cobbled, narrow streets, beaches and fishing harbour, and The Tate Gallery are just 6 miles away.

  

 

An ideal spot for exploringthe Penwith area, the island castle of St Micheal's Mount, Lands End and St Just with its ancient mining stack at Cape Cornwall. To the East is the county city of Truro, Falmouth with the docks, maritime museum, town and beach, Trelissic Gardens adjacent to the King Harry Ferry which crosses the River Fal every 15 minutes and is well worth a visit, and the Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Helligan on the way to St Austel.

ACCOMMODATION

Ground floor:
Open plan lounge/dining room with access to the galley style, well appointed kitchen. Extensive views over the sand dunes, across Hayle town towards Tregonning Hill in the distance. Fully double glazed adding to the cosy comfort. 
One small double bedroom and one bedroom with 2'6" children's bunk beds plus a 3' single bed. The chalet will sleep 3 adults and 2 children with a push, but is advertised for 4. Beds for 4 can be made up ready for you with the top bunk's bedding supplied but not made up.  
Bathroom with shower over the bath, toilet and wash hand basin.
TV / DVD player with docking station, books and games for your entertainment. Picnic table, garden seat and B-B-Q for your enjoyment.

 

Jestyn kitchenShort breaks welcome out of the main summer season or last minute bookings.

Children welcome. One well behaved dog with considerate owners welcome.
No Smoking indoors, but seats provided outside.

 

SERVICES

Wall mounted electric heaters. Fan heater and electric towel rail in bathroom.
Electricity and bed linen included in the rent.

Free parking.
The beds are made-up ready for your arrival together with a complimentary hamper. Radio, electric cooker, fridge, microwave, all cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils supplied.

 

Arrival time after 3.30pm. Departure before 10.30am. please.

DIRECTIONS

BY CAR Follow the A30 to the Hayle roundabout (where there is a McDonald's). Take the 4th exit signed Hayle. Go straight over 2 mini roundabouts, then take the 1st right opposite the Jet Garage, signed to Phillack.
Go through Phillack, passed the Church and 'Bucket of Blood' Pub and a farm.
Take the second lane on the left. Immediately take the right hand fork onto the Riviere Towans. Pass 2 chalets on the left and there is a grassy roadway on the left beside the 2nd chalet leading to Jestyn G18.

BY TRAIN Most trains stop at St Erth or Hayle Stations on the main Paddington/Penzance line.

BY COACH There is a regular coach service from Victoria Coach Station to Penzance, which stops at Hayle.

Chalet v. comfy and well equipped. Had a great 2 week stay.
