CORNISH YURTS
Welcome to Tregeague Farm, an organic beef and dairy farm in an area of outstanding natural beauty in Southwest Cornwall. The farm has been in the Williams family for five generations and with two little girls, it maybe in it for more generations to come!!
Our Yurts are 18' in diameter and suitable for sleeping 5-6 people.Yurts originally came from the Mongolian plains in Asia. The gers as the Mongolian nomadic people called them are made from a trellis system and wooden poles which then have a canvas 'tent' placed over the support system. The centre ring or crown in the roof is there to release the smoke from the wood burner or just to gaze at the stars at night! This is a brilliant and innotivate way in which to live their nomadic way of life, and a chance for you to experience a unique and exciting holiday in the Cornish countryside.
SERVICES
In your Yurt you will find all you need for any enjoyable holiday. You will be supplied with the following:-
A gas Bar B Q for cooking - we do ask that you clean it after each use!!! A wood burner. All your crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, pots and pans. Lighting in your Yurt.
You are asked to bring your own sleeping bags, but should you wish bedding can be hired from Cornish Yurts.
One bag of wood is supplied for your burner/campfire on arrival, others can be supplied for a minimal cost.
A baby cot is available - again we can supply bedding, and a pram/pushchair. Should either of these items be required, we suggest that you reserve them at the time of booking.
In the communal area you will find the kitchen washing facilities, a fridge with freezer compartment and a washing machine. Each Yurt has a rotary clothes drier. Each Yurt has its own private shower and toilet block which are also located near this area.
A selection of games and books are available for your enjoyment.
The Yurts are in a one acre meadow sheltered by Cornish hedges and trees. This is a car free area as we like the area to be safe for children to run around. Car parking is next to the field.
We are sorry, but as there are dogs and farm animals on the farm we can not permit dogs.
You are more than welcome to explore the farm, but please remember this is a working farm so we ask you to take care. Please follow the countryside code.
